Our Hudson River HealthCare Article 28 & 31 MH Clinics in the Suffolk County Region are seeking dynamic LCSW (Clinicians)to conduct direct therapy to families/children in need. Various Locations (Shirly; Riverhead; Coram; Southampton)

Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  •  Provides psychotherapy for patients of which include children/families (all ages)
  •  Provides psychosocial evaluations for patients (Trauma; Anxiety; Substance Use; Mental Health Diagnosis)
  •  Practices in collaboration with psych NPs, psychiatrist and other medical staff to manage patient care
  •  Assesses the multidimensional needs of patients and develops and implements care plans
  •  Functions as a patient advocate, by participating in clinical meetings, patient care conferences and informal discussion with health care and mental health program staff
  •  Provides patient education relative to psychiatric mental health issues
  •  Provides written reports and care coordination as needed.
  •  Attends and participates in continuing educational programs, seminars, etc., designated to maintain professional competence
  •  Performs all related duties, as assigned, or unrelated duties, as requested, during emergencies
  •  Demonstrates an understanding of the management and care of the adult substance abuse population

 

Minimum Requirements:

  •  Master of Social Work (Required)
  •  New York State Licensed Clinical Social (Required)
  •  Bilingual Spanish speaking candidates highly encouraged to apply.
  •   Must have specific experience with Families/Children pref., in a community-based setting. Experience working with vulnerable; homeless & culturally diverse population. 
  • Experience in a FQHC; Mental Health Clinic; Article 31 highly preferred
  •  Some schedules includes evening/weekends
  • We may consider Part Time Candidate who are available for a 25/hours weekly.
  •  Candidates considered must complete extensive background screening; orientation and training requirements
