POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

POSITION: Human Resources Intern

LOCATION: Park Ave South

                   373 Park Ave South, 7th FL

                   New York, NY 10016

DEPARTMENT: Human Resource

STATUS:  Part -time

FLSA:  Non-exempt (Paid) 

 

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Human Resources Intern supports the day-to-day operations of Human Resources functions and duties including, on-boarding, performance evaluations, and maintenance of the HRIS/Intranet System. He/She helps with the implementation of services, policies, and programs and assists Brightpoint Health managers with HR matters.  The Human Resources Intern will report directly to and provide direct administrative support to the Human Resources Team. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Record and maintain accurate employee information 
  • Maintain and edit HR Flash/Intranet page 
  • Assist with performance management database 
  • Assist the Director, Human Resources and the HR Staff with special projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be 18 years of age. Ideal candidate will be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and able to obtain academic credit for this internship.  Demonstrate effective communication skills. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and skilled in web content management.  Excellent interpersonal skills.  Able to prioritize workload.  Experienced in database management and record keeping.  Can maintain confidence when dealing with individuals at all professional levels.  Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely and responsive manner, with a high degree of accuracy.  Must be able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
