POSITION SUMMARY: The Director will have primary responsibility for daily oversight and supervision of all operations and services provided on the Community Access Mobile Unit at key sites throughout Staten Island. The primary goal of the Community Access Services Program is to address the needs of low-income and uninsured residents of Staten Island who are coping with substance use, HIV related risk, and chronic health conditions by facilitating access to syringe exchange, overdose prevention, HIV and HCV testing, diabetes and hypertension screening, health insurance enrollment, linkage to medical care and support services, SNAP benefits and food pantry referrals, drug treatment referrals including low threshold buprenorphine, , and information, referral and follow-up to help them better their overall health and well-being.


  1. Oversee all aspects of the Community Access Mobile Unit.
  2. Act as the Site Supervisor for the Mobile Unit. Coordinate staffing schedules to assure adequate coverage.
  3. Manage all facility and infrastructure related tasks with the assistance of maintenance and information systems.
  4. Direct staff activity for outreach and service delivery to meet the deliverables, goals and objectives of the unit and related departments.
  5. Assure that the Mobile Unit is open and operational during schedule hours.
  6. Address any site related matters with employees and/or clients.
  7. Develop collaborative approach to service delivery among staff.
  8. Ensure documentation of all services rendered by the Unit staff, compiling program statistics as required.
  9. Work with Department AVP to secure new funding within the prescribed program areas.
  10. Assist with recruit, hire, training and supervision of program staff.
  11. Maintain systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date records and files on all clients receiving services.
  12. Conduct quality assurance processes of all client and site records.
  13. Supervise the tracking and reporting of deliverables and demographic statistics.
  14. Coordinate and/or conduct in-house trainings for program staff, as needed.
  15. Develop new resources and relationships with outside service providers.
  16. Serve as liaison to community groups and committees, as assigned.
  17. Other duties as assigned.
  • B.A. in Public Health or Community Education preferred

  • 2 years in Health Education required

  • 2 years supervisory experience is required

  • NYS EMT or LPN license preferred.

Salary Range:50,000 Per Year
